Wellspring Clinic uses only the highest grade stem cells in our therapies that are donated and obtained from the Wharton’s Jelly of the umbilical cord of a life-birth baby. We prefer the Wharton’s Jelly due to its high stem cell count. Wharton’s Jelly contains 80% stem cells in comparison to 3% stem cells that you receive when your therapy consists of umbilical cord blood. Depending on the application and treatment, we may combine the Wharton’s Jelly stem cells with additional products from the umbilical cord, the amniotic fluid and from the placenta of the donating mother. These products are rich in growth factors and anti-inflammatory cytokines which increase the success of the stem cell therapy.

What are stem cells and why are they used?
The human body is comprised of billions of specialized cells that form organs and tissues such as the heart, brain, skin, blood cells, muscles, tendons, ligaments, bones and joints. We use placenta-based amniotic membrane in combination with live stem cells and growth factors and have seen excellent results in joint and tissue treatments. These treatments come in injectable form and are available for use during office visits.

We administer the stem cells intravenously to insure the stem cells travel through the heart and lungs first assuring the heart/lungs receive the majority of the stem cells prior to navigating through the rest of the body.
