Stem Cells

If you are suffering from the following conditions you may be a candidate for non-surgical Stem Cell Therapy.

  • Arthritis of the joints including knee, hip, ankle, shoulder, elbow, wrist and hand
  • Rotator Cuff Tendonitis and labral/cuff tears
  • COPD and Pulmonary Fibrosis
  • Heart issues
  • General Wellness
  • Neurological disorders including Parkinson’s Disease, Multiple Sclerosis, Traumatic Brain Injury

Often our patients have heard about Stem Cell Therapy through the grapevine from other patients, read about them on Internet marketing sites or have even attended seminars that are regularly given by “regenerative medicine specialists”. They have often been promised significant regenerative healing of injured or degenerative joints or tissue with multiple types of procedures that utilize stem cells. The type of products used can greatly influence the success of your therapy.

Wellspring Clinic uses only the highest grade stem cells in our therapies that are donated and obtained from the Wharton’s Jelly of the umbilical cord of a life-birth baby. We prefer the Wharton’s Jelly due to its high stem cell count. Wharton’s Jelly contains 80% stem cells in comparison to 3% stem cells that you receive when your therapy consists of umbilical cord blood. Depending on the application and treatment, we may combine the Wharton’s Jelly stem cells with additional products from the umbilical cord, the amniotic fluid and from the placenta of the donating mother. These products are rich in growth factors and anti-inflammatory cytokines which increase the success of the stem cell therapy.

Wellspring Clinic does not use:

  • Umbilical cord blood due to it’s low stem cell count
  • Stem Cells from adipose tissue. These stem cells are extracted from your own body fat. The amount of stem cells obtained is low and these stem cells are as old as you are. By the age of 65, 80% of your stem cells are inactive.
  • Bone Marrow Aspirate: Can be a painful procedure, again using your own stem cells with a low stem cell count.

Stem cells have been shown to generate healthy cells, and orchestrate the natural cell healing process to replace diseased and damaged cells in a process referred to as regenerative medicine. Stem cells can become specific cells that can be used to regenerate and repair damage to tissue.

What are stem cells and why are they used?

The human body is comprised of billions of specialized cells that form organs and tissues such as the heart, brain, skin, blood cells, muscles, tendons, ligaments, bones and joints. As older cells get injured or die, new cells are “born” from stem cells with the unique ability to differentiate themselves into more specific cell lines. This means a stem cell can divide, become specialized and regenerate tissues that become injured, weak, painful or less functional.

Stem Cell science is evolving and the data is growing more exciting.  We are tailoring our treatments to reflect this new evidence.

Joints and Tissues
We use placenta-based amniotic membrane in combination with live stem cells and growth factors and have seen excellent results in joint and  tissue treatments. These treatments come in injectable form and are available for use during office visits.

Lungs and Heart
Clinical studies have shown that Stem cell treatment can dramatically improve lung and heart conditions. We administer the stem cells intravenously to insure the stem cells travel through the heart and lungs first assuring the heart/lungs receive the majority of the stem cells prior to navigating through the rest of the body.

General Wellness
You may not have any specific complaints other than general aging and some aches and pains. We offer an in-office wellness injection containing stem cells, growth factors and anti-inflammatory cytokines as preventative treatment to repair any damaged cells before any symptoms appear or become major issues or disease. Most patients report a decrease in general aches and pains, better mental clarity, improved mood and sleep.

Neurological Disorders
We have successfully treated patients with neurological disorders with a series of wellness injections containing stem cells, growth factors and anti-inflammatory cytokines.

As more studies are conducted, the benefits of stem cell therapy are only made more evident. Simply put, stem cells are the future of Regenerative medicine.
